Brief History of the Marian Friary

The friars arrived the Southern part of Indiana on February 16, 2005 to take charge of the spiritual works and services of the Center of Marian Retreat "Mother of the Redeemer", which is already in existence. The retreat center can accommodate 90 persons in 29 rooms. It has a dining hall and a complete kitchen; a conference hall, a bookstore and gift shop well maintained and a Chapel on top of the hill facing the landscape. The retreat center is opened for individual retreats, for families, the youth, seminarians and clergy alike. Every third weekend of the month, there is a monthly retreat conducted by the friars of about 30 to 50 persons. The retreat center is also a place to for vocation discernment for the Franciscan Friars of the Immaculate.

Schedule of Masses, Confessions, and Devotions

Masses:

Mon-Fri.: 6:30 AM
Saturday: 6:30 AM & 12:00 PM
Sunday: 9:00 AM except on Retreat Sunday the only Mass at 10:00 AM

Confessions:

5:30-6 PM Mon-Fri., 11 AM - 12 NOON Sat.
Holy Hour: 6:00 PM Mon-Fri, 11 AM on Sat.

Retreats

The friars take turn in assisting and giving retreats monthly to group of people.

Assistance to the Sisters

The friars assist the Franciscan Sisters of the Immaculate in providing the Sacraments of the Eucharist and confession to them

The promotion and distribution of the monthly magazine "Missio Immaculatae International".

The friars give occasional programs and talks in the Catholic Radio 89.1 and WHOJ (Heart of Jesus Radio 91.9.
